Lagos resume sale of LAKE Rice today


The Lagos state government will today resume the sale of LAKE Rice.  The rice will be sold at approved retail outlets across the state. According to the Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Oluwatoyin Surau, the subsidized rice is part of the state government's effort at creating employment and achieving food security. 
The commissioner who assured lagosians that the food will be available during the festive period listed approved designated centers which are: Lagos State Agricultural Input Supply Authority Centres at Ojo, Ajah, Odogunyan in Ikorodu, and Epe as well as the secretariats of all the 57 Local Government and Local Council Development Areas in the State.
He added that “Lake Rice would also be available for sale at the Agricultural Development Area Complex Oko-Oba, Agege; LTV Complex Agidingbi; State Universal Basic Education Board, Maryland; Government Technical College, Idimu-Alimosho and the Eko Farmers Mart Surulere”. 
The commissioner also hinted that the sale will resume at  normal price of N12,000 for 50kg bag , N6,000 for 25Kg and N2,500 for 10Kg.
