Perception & Self Confidence

May 25, 2017 Posted by Gafar's blog No comments

Self confidence is the one thing that is common to all successful people throughout history. The I- can do it and I- will- succeed mentality is the mutual quality they all share.
Self-confidence has been described as the "difference between feeling unstoppable and feeling scared out of your wits".
Self-confidence is a function of perception. The way you think, notice or understand someone or something has an enormous effect on your self esteem. Those who lack self confidence have a set of limiting beliefs that keep them in their shells, while confident people on the other hand have a set of positive beliefs about themselves, their skills, and their abilities.
We all have our weaknesses and strengths, but the confident ones focus on their strength while the less/non- confident ones focus on their weaknesses. When you focus on your weaknesses, it derails your self-confidence.
Although there are many factors affecting self confidence, some of which are beyond your control, but having the right perception of yourself will really go a long way in building your self confidence.
