As the 31st Edition of AFCON Gets Underway......

Preparations are in top gear as Garbon is set to host the 31st edition of the biennial international men's football of Africa. The tournament will begin on 14th January and culminates on 5th February, 2017.
Even though the three times champions, Nigeria failed to qualify, the tournament promises to be an exciting one as 26 premier league players are expected. Thirteen Premier League teams are affected as five of them will have to play about four matches without three of their first team squad members. Here are the names of EPL players expected in Garbon:
Arsenal- Mohamed Elneny (Egypt) 

Bournemouth- Max Gradel,   (Ivory Coast)

Crystal Palace- Wilfried Zaha, (Ivory Coast), Bakary Sako (Mali)

Everton- Idrissa Gueye  (Senegal)

Hull City- Ahmed Elmohamady (Egypt), Dieumerci Mbokani (DR Congo) 

Leicester- Riyad Mahrez (Algeria), Islam Slimani (Algeria), Daniel Amartey (Ghana) 

Liverpool- Sadio Mane (Senegal)  

Manchester United-Eric Bailly (Ivory Coast)  

Southampton- Sofiane Boufal (Morocco)  

Stoke- Wilfried Bony (Ivory Coast), Mame Biram Diouf (Senegal), Ramadan Sobhi (Egypt)

Sunderland- Lamine Kone (Senegal), Wahbi Khazri (Tunisia), Didier Ndong (Garbon)

Watford- Nordin Amrabat (Morocco), Adlène Guedioura (Algeria)

West Ham- Cheikou Kouyate (Senegal), Andre Ayew (Ghana)

Hull city- Dieumerci Mbokani (DR Congo), Ahmed Elmohamady (Egypt).

Algeria, Senegal, Ghana, Egypt, Ivory Coast and Tunisia have been described as the favourites for this tournament. Congratulations in advance to the would-be winner of AfCON 2017!
